Casa Ermita (Hermitage House) is attached to the Ermita (chapel) and is one of the highest houses in the village with breathtaking views across the River Ebro and up towards the mountains of El Ports Natural Park. It’s a space to relax and unwind in comfort surrounded by nature and the sense of village community. It’s all on your doorstep to explore or just soak it in and relax. It’s rustic but with all the mod cons.

When we bought the house, the attic (mezzanine alto) was a massive storage space for olives and fruit with a terraza for hanging clothes to dry. We have turned it into a living space and expanded the terrace to make it a sunny space to sit and relax with breathtaking views across the lowlands along the river (Baixes Ebro) up to the mountains high lands (Terra Alta). There is a dining table with 6 chairs and a picture window out over the village. Seating for the terrace - including deck chairs. A built in L shaped sofa to recline for long, relaxing days reading, thinking and chatting. The kitchen is fully equipped with large American upright fridge/freezer, oven, washing machine. Hot water on tap. All utensils, crockery, glasses cutlery for cooking up a feast from the local produce or just chill with the beer or wine and a platter of jam on serrano. The local drink is vermouth and squeezed fresh oranges/clementines. That will be waiting for you when you arrive to get your holiday started!
Board games, cards, music and all sorts of books for you to dip into and enjoy. A folder in full of leaflets, maps and things to do in the area so you can plan your days out. There is no TV but internet connection via3G is available. There currently isn’t air con and it does get stifling in July and August. There are electric fans and nets to protect from midges in bed. Citronella candles also on terrace do the job.
